School

The kids are at school.
They go to school every day.

Hospital

Jack is at the hospital. He works there.
Susan is in the hospital. She is sick.

Church

My mother isn’t home today.
She’s at Church.

OBS: De maneira geral, usamos at para localização geral – para falar o lugar onde a pessoa está. Mas como você pôde observar no exemplo do hospital, às vezes podemos usar IN ou AT, dependendo do contexto:
Jack está no hospital porque ele trabalha lá, enquanto Susan está no hospital porque ela está doente.
Assim, usamos AT para falar da localização do Jack (algo temporário) e IN para falar da localização de Susan (algo mais demorado).

Fire Station

Gabriela works at the fire station.
She’s a firefighter.

Police Station

The policemen are at the police station. The police station is open 24/7.

Bank

Charles is at the bank now.
He’s the manager there.
