Grammar Focus
Present continuous statements & conjunctions:
Usamos o present continuous para falar sobre algo que está acontecendo no momento da fala.
Acrescentamos –ing ao verbo para formar o gerúndio.
A estrutura:
(pessoa/sujeito) + (to be) + (verb+ing) + (complement)
Teacher Dani is wearing a white T-shirt
Observe o exemplo abaixo:
What are you wearing?
O que você está vestindo/usando?
I’m wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
Estou vestindo uma camiseta branca e jeans azul.
I am wearing a white T-shirt. I‘m not wearing a dress.
You are wearing a blue jacket. You‘re not wearing a coat.
She is wearing a red dress. She isn’t wearing sneakers.
He is wearing brown shoes. He isn’t wearing flip-flops.
Também chamadas de linking words, conjunctions são palavras que usamos para conectar uma frase à outra:
- It’s raining, and it’s windy.
Está chovendo e está ventando. - It’s sunny, but it’s cold.
Está sol, mas está frio. - It’s snowing, so it’s very cold.
Está nevando, então está muito frio.
